Metal To Plastic Conversion
Metal to thermoplastic conversions and metal replacement applications are areas of expertise at Performance Plastics. Tremendous advances in the development and performance attributes of high end thermoplastics and fiber loaded compounds are enabling the conversion of metal to thermoplastic components including those subject to significant torque loadings, such as gears. Advantages of thermoplastic components relative to their metal analogues include, but are not limited to, weight, noise and cost reduction, improved quality, enhanced performance and can be self lubricating.
