Mission Statement
Performance Plastics, LTD.'s mission is to be the leader in the custom injection molding of close tolerance parts out of high performance plastics. PPL will accomplish this through the utilization of the latest technologies and materials to solve our customer's most difficult technical problems. Acknowledging that our employees are PPL's greatest asset, we will continuously support the growth and development of our staff.

History
Performance Plastics Ltd. was founded in 1982, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company has been focused on highly engineered plastics in difficult shapes/close tolerance parts from it's inception.

Performance Plastics has molded Peek since the material was first introduced in the early 1980's. PPL is an approved processor of Torlon® and is fortunate to have a number of employees that have processed this material since the mid 1970's, when it was first introduced. PPL also did some of the development processing work for the resin supplier of liquid crystal polymer (LCP). The company is one of the few able to mold UHMW and a new material AURUM (polyimide).

We are now capable of building 8 cavity, high volume molds with hot runner systems to produce critical PFA/FEP parts.

In 1997, the company was acquired by Tom Mendel, who has over two decades of technical and management experience. The facilities have been recently expanded and is one of the most efficient and best equipped in the U.S.

Due to it's unique abilities to solve problems for America's leading manufacturers, Performance Plastics has enjoyed double digit growth in recent years. "Our goal is not growth alone," said Tom Mendel, "we prefer to build our business based upon successful relationships with our customers. They tend to come back."
