Fluoropolymers have traditionally been difficult to injection mold. The perception still persists that it can’t be done reliably or efficiently. Because of the higher cost of fluoropolymer resins, runner waste was often the limiting factor to producing low cost, high-volume parts. By significantly reducing material use, we have aggressively reduced the per part cost making performance plastic components a viable option in many new applications.
