Hot Runner Molding
COMPRESSOR APPLICATIONS
To meet the sealing requirements, the profile on this PEEK poppet is held to 0.0003". It also has to withstand 10 million cycles

Low Pressure sealing performance is critical to the functionality of this PEEK poppet. This componet replaced 2 metal parts and significantly reduced re-work offering tremendous cost savings.

This scroll compressor seal is molded in a specially designed tool to meet the demanding flatness and involute profile tolerances required in this application.
PEEK Valve Plates are a special capability at Performance Plastics. We have production experience with many part configurations as well as PEEK material grades for valve plate applications
METAL to PLASTIC CONVERSION
This distributor gear for NASCAR and other racing engines was converted to PEEK. The improved wear performance prevents deterioration during the race, resulting in a gear that is 80% lighter and delivers more horsepower than the conventional metal gear.

This surgical head restraint system was converted from titanium to PEEK. The plastic allows for accurate MRI imaging without interference from a metal assembly.
