Performance Plastics has unique expertise in molding Fluoropolymers, PEEK, and PPS materials, all of which have outstanding chemical resistance.
Our direct gating fluoropolymer molding techniques were critical in producing this seal used with semiconductor fluids. Direct gating eliminated the runner system, generating significant cost savings. Gating in the middle of the part also provided improved roundness and dimensional stability.
The customer replaced a traditional break seal with the PFA fluoropolymer component which allows them to deliver a product that offers superior sealing performance with less particle generation.
